Good Afternoon Sinus Valley!
Six of Pennsylvania’s cities have made the AAFA’s (Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America) list of allergy capitals for 2014. While Chambersburg is not listed, we are nestled in the middle of all that are listed. Being situated between the mountains that trap the pollens from blowing away from us easily.
Almost 45 million Americans struggle with nasal allergies and 25 million have asthma. This type of patient is already chronically more sensitive to pollen, mold, and other airborne allergens. They can also be more susceptible to rapid changes in temperature and moisture, and to catching the common cold or flu.
The time of year when Winter and Spring blend, these patients become at risk of multiple symptom attacks.
But with proper planning and early prevention, patients can find relief. Halotherapy can help. Sessions grouped together early in the season offer the most help, ( 2-3 x’s week) with continuing routine sessions throughout the season to maintain.
Think of it this way, you can’t purchase a gym membership, go workout once and expect to have the buffest bod on the beach. Staying healthy takes commitment, but the benefits are worth it.
Sit back and relax in the cave for 50 min, 2-3 times a week.
Your sinuses and lungs will thank you
